Privacy policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to our application (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This application is a mobile product developed and operated by WEBNUM LLC. The application provides artificial intelligence-powered repair diagnostics and step-by-step fix-it guidance for a wide range of items, including household appliances, electronics, plumbing fixtures, furniture, automotive components, HVAC systems, power tools, and virtually any object that may require repair or maintenance.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the application (the “App”) and any related services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you choose to sign in through third-party authentication providers (such as Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In), we receive your name and email address from those services.

Repair Submissions: When you use our diagnosis and repair features, we collect the photographs, videos, and images of broken, damaged, or malfunctioning items that you capture or upload through the App. This also includes any text descriptions, problem details, or contextual notes you provide about the issue.

Repair History: We store records of your previous repair diagnoses, including identified problems, suggested repair steps, parts lists, and any notes or ratings you add. This allows you to revisit past repairs and track maintenance history within the App.

Transaction Information: If you purchase a subscription or make in-app purchases, we collect transaction details processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.

Communications: When you contact us for customer support, report an issue, or send us feedback, we collect the content of your messages and any attachments you provide along with your contact information.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: We collect device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, device language and region settings, and screen resolution.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, number of items scanned, categories of repairs accessed, session duration, pages and screens viewed, actions taken within the App, and timestamps of activity.

Camera and Photo Library Access: With your permission, we access your device’s camera to enable real-time scanning and photographing of items that need repair. We may also access your photo library if you choose to upload existing images for diagnosis.

Location Data: With your explicit permission, we may collect approximate location data to help recommend nearby hardware stores, repair shops, or spare parts suppliers relevant to your repair needs. You may disable location access at any time through your device settings.

Log Data: Our servers automatically record information when you use the App, including your IP address, access times, app crash reports, and diagnostic data.

2.3 Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive information about you from analytics providers, advertising networks, and third-party authentication services that you use to access the App. This information is used in conjunction with other information we collect to improve our services and your user experience.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The App leverages advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies as its core engine to deliver accurate repair diagnostics and actionable fix-it guidance. Understanding how we use AI is an important part of this Privacy Policy.

Image Recognition and Problem Detection: When you scan or upload a photograph of a broken or malfunctioning item, our AI models employ sophisticated computer vision and deep learning algorithms to identify the item, recognize its make, model, and type where possible, and detect visible damage, defects, wear patterns, and potential failure points.

AI-Powered Diagnostics: Based on the visual analysis combined with any text description you provide, our AI generates a diagnosis of the likely problem, its probable causes, and the severity of the issue. The diagnostic engine draws on extensive databases of known failure modes, repair manuals, troubleshooting guides, and crowd-sourced repair data to provide the most accurate assessment possible.

Step-by-Step Repair Instructions: The App uses AI to generate detailed, step-by-step repair guides tailored to the specific item and problem identified. Instructions include required tools, estimated difficulty level, approximate repair time, safety precautions, and recommended replacement parts with estimated costs where applicable.

Difficulty and Safety Assessment: Our AI models evaluate the complexity and potential hazards of each repair, providing clear difficulty ratings and safety warnings. Repairs involving electrical systems, gas lines, structural components, or other potentially dangerous work are clearly flagged with appropriate safety advisories.

Continuous Improvement: We use aggregated and de-identified data from user interactions and repair submissions to train and improve our AI models, enhancing the accuracy of problem detection, expanding the range of recognizable items and failure modes, and refining repair instructions over time. Individual images may be reviewed in anonymized form to improve our machine learning algorithms.

Cloud Processing: AI analysis requires significant computational resources and is performed on secure cloud servers. Your images and descriptions are transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption protocols (TLS 1.2 or higher) and are processed in real time. Images used for scanning purposes are not permanently stored on our servers after the analysis is complete, unless you explicitly save them to your repair history within the App.

Third-Party AI Services: We may utilize third-party AI and cloud computing providers (such as Google Cloud AI, OpenAI, or similar services) to process certain analytical tasks. These providers are contractually bound to process data only in accordance with our instructions and this Privacy Policy, and are prohibited from retaining, using, or sharing your content for their own purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
